Don’t miss “8 Starry Nights,” a Chanukah Bedroom, by Agus Interiors featuring fabrics and wallpaper by Schumacher, including Giordano Taffeta in Lapis, Luminosity in Natural, Prestwick Wool Satin in Ivory, and Santorini Print in Marine.

Designer Jennifer Angus uses a rich palette of cobalt blues, along with creams and golds for the bedroom design, mixing traditional and mid-century “mod” pieces to represent the history, extravagance and sparkle of the Chanukah holiday.

We had the pleasure of visiting the 38th annual Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club Decorator Show House at 106 East 71st Street, which boasts extraordinary and aesthetically inspiring interior design.

We were struck by the impact floorcovering had on many of the rooms we toured, from dark geometric patterns to brilliant neutrals, the use of carpet caught our eye.

Patterson, Flynn & Martin’s Annandale Integration looks stunning in the master bedroom designed by The Jeffrey Design Group, while Arista Cross Square in Charcoal Stria makes a huge impact in the hallway by Nina Helms.

Styled for Truman Capote and Harper Lee, the small office area in the library, which features Schumacher’s Chiang Mai Dragon in Lacquer, was part of the Designer Showhouse for the Arts held at Seaside.

Valerie Onor was named Designer of the Year for her work in Mansions & Millionaires.  Inspired by the home’s 1915 décor and the original “Marouflage” mural in the bed alcove, which features a Chinese pavilion, mountains and exotic birds, Onor created an interior space that honors the past, while remaining firmly rooted in the present.

Onor’s design “My Suite Embraceable You” includes lush furnishings—velvets, silks, a touch of lace in soft colors—that enhance the romantic mood. Fresh wallpaper, fine linens and accessories complement the original brass fixtures, antique wall scale and tile.
